I personalize every design,
I provide excellence at each event, and
I limit my availability to only 20 events per year.
Uniquely, I carry my “shop” in a highly organized tool-box
to every delivery, so I have at my disposal everything I need
to create amazing designs virtually anywhere.

Environmental Stewardship
I am committed to responsible care of flowers and to minimizing waste. I only purchase the flowers and supplies needed for your event. There is no need for a large cooler with wilting inventory. Stewardship of our natural world employs reasonable ways to reduce waste, cares for how waste is disposed, and identifies ways to prevent waste at all.
Client-Focused Vision
Client-focused design requires that
I structure quotes based on 3 Factors:
- flower varieties,
- flower quantities, and
- design time.
This very simple approach leads to transparent
estimates that wow my clients.

I am honored to be a part of The Catholic Bridal Collective.
I learn and pray with fellow vendors who share my faith, and that uplifts me in my business and in my art.
For clients who wish to hire within the Catholic community, it is an honor for me to provide flowers as I pray for those
giving and receiving the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

Greetings!
I'm Mel Cameron, a home-based floral designer.
I am blessed to have received the following industry knowledge:
- trained in European hand-tied bouquets by the Middle Atlantic Florist Association
- coached by world-renowned Dutch Florist René van Rems
- instructed by author and designer Michael Gaffney at the American School of Flower Design
Since beginning in 2011, I have developed both
a deep love for flowers and
a dedication to praying for those who will enjoy them.
Also, I am a "green" florist -
I only purchase the flowers needed for each event, and
I try to give away or donate what I cannot use.
I design for only 20 weddings per year, based on availability.
I now have several florist colleagues who work with me in tandem for larger wedding contracts and installations.
I specialize in design for floral budgets of $700 to $5,000.
In-Person Floral Design Workshop
$250.00
Perfect for local brides in Northern Virginia with a budget of $1,000 or less. I have conducted these workshops at Four Seasons Boutique Hotels and at client's homes. The workshop serves as a great out-of-town guest, appetizers afternoon or a ladies-only, strawberries and champagne at the hotel.
This on-site workshop is ideal for brides who have a large amount of bridesmaids, as it saves on design labor costs. This is always a fun and family-friendly experience.
Onsite Floral Design Includes the following:
- Consult on ordering flowers & supplies (1 hour)
- Delivery of processed flowers and workshop setup
- 90 minute on-site workshop days prior to event
- Professional Design of one Bridal Bouquet
- Vases for each bouquet design, complimentary
The workshop is scheduled based on my availability and may only be conducted at an agreed-upon location. Flower and supply costs are separate. Proper tools are suggested.
Online Live Floral Design Workshop
$180.00
Ideal for Brides anywhere in the US who want a florist to instruct the Bride & Bridesmaids in designing their own bouquets days before the wedding.
Google Meet Live Floral Design includes the following:
- Consult on ordering flowers & supplies (1 hour)
- Written Instructions for Processing/Storing Flowers
- 90 minute Google Meet workshop at a time convenient to you the week of your wedding
The workshop is scheduled based on my availability and may only be conducted at an agreed-upon location. Flower and supply costs are separate. Proper tools are suggested.
Online Consult + Trial Run for Future DIY Design
$180.00
Ideal for Brides who want to DIY but want to be instructed ahead of time by a florist in designing their own bouquets.
Consult + Trial Run Includes the Following:
- Consult on ordering flowers & supplies (1 hour)
- Written Instructions for Processing/Storing Flowers
- 90 minute Google Meet Trial-Run for 1-3 participants at a time convenient up to one month prior to event
The consult and trial run are scheduled based on mutual availability and may only be conducted at an agreed upon time. Flower and supply costs are separate. Proper tools are suggested.
